SciFun Camp: Planets, Stars, and Galaxies (day 2 of 2)

Cooler months are a great time for star viewing.  The cold and dry air means less humidity in the atmosphere, which generally makes for clearer skies.  On the first day of this two-day camp, we will learn about astronomy and stargazing.  We will conduct experiments to explore how gravity works, why eclipses happen, how to navigate using stars, and watch videos.  On day two, we will talk about space exploration.  You’ve probably heard about planned missions to the moon and Mars.  What would you bring with you if you went on such a mission?  How would you construct a Martian lander?  What would it be like to visit a world beyond our solar system?

For elementary school age learners.

Camp runs October 24th & 25th. Drop-off for camps are from 8:00-8:20 (drop off) to 3:30-4:00 (pick-up).

Cost is $80 for members and $100 for non members (Members, please log in to your account and use the discount code previously emailed to you)
