SciFun Camp: The Science of Autumn…and making bread!

Science of Autumn.jpg

Autumn is a time of transition.  The days are getting shorter and colder, and the leaves are changing colors.  What is the science behind these changes?  In this JAM camp, we’ll explore the science behind the changes.  We’ll examine how and why leaves change their colors by doing leaf paper chromatography.  We’ll learn about the habits of animals as they prepare for winter, make observations of plants in our wetlands, learn about astronomical changes, and more.

Autumn is also the time to harvest and store grains and other crops.  Learn about different harvesting techniques as well as how to make your own bread!

For elementary and middle school age learners.

Camp runs from September 30th - October 1st. Drop-off for camps are from 8:00-8:20 (drop off) to 3:30-4:00 (pick-up).

Cost is $80 for members and $100 for non members (Members, please log in to your account and use the discount code previously emailed to you)
