Autumn is a time of transition. While we are still technically in summer, meteorological autumn starts on September 1st. (Astronomical autumn starts a few weeks later, and we'll talk about the difference between the two.) In this camp, we’ll explore the science behind the Autumn changes. We’ll learn about the habits of animals as they prepare for winter, make observations of plants in our wetlands, and dissect pumpkins.
Autumn is also the time to harvest and store grains and other crops. Learn about different harvesting techniques as well as how to make your own bread!
For elementary school age learners.
