Look around your house, and I’ll bet you will find a lot of different liquid substances – water, cooking oil, dish soap, the milk you put in your cereal, etc.  You may also know that not all of those liquids look or even pour the same.  Some liquids, like water, are “runny” while others, like vegetable oil and dish soap, tend to thicker.  This has to do with density, which we will learn about as we see what happens when you try to mix different household liquids together.  To top off the activity, you will use the concept of density to make your own lava lamp!

Class is at 10:15 am

PLEASE NOTE:

  • We require a 24 hour cancellation notice for Little Explorers Club and JAM Sessions reservations via emailing info@visitthemap.org. Please include the name on the reservation, number of students, date and time of the class.
