Who invented human flight? You may have heard of the Wright brothers and their famous flight in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. However, there is actually debate as to who truly invented the first flying machine, and what even defines flight in the first place. When it comes to the concept of human flight, we can trace this idea back to the Renaissance Era in Europe. During this time, Leonardo da Vinci, one of the most famous naturalists of all time, drew his ideas of various flying machines into notebooks. In this aero engineering JAM, you will attempt to recreate one of his flying machines and see how well it works!
Registration opens at 10:00 on March 3rd
