SciFun Camp: How to Live on Mars (day 2 of 2)

Do you think you’d like to live on Mars one day?  Do you think you could do it?  In a lot of ways, Mars is pretty similar to Earth - it’s a rocky planet with weather, an atmosphere, even water.  Look a little deeper, and you find that Mars is also very different and poses extreme challenges to human colonization of the Red Planet.

In this camp, you will be tasked with figuring out how to overcome major challenges to building a sustainable community on Mars.  Make models of Martian rovers, and learn how to excavate for water under the surface.  You will also have the chance to work together and build a model habitat as well as use a laptop (supplied by us) to run a computer simulation of living on Mars.

For elementary school age learners.

This is a 2 day camp. Camp runs January 2nd-3rd. Drop-off for camps are from 8:00-8:20 (drop off) to 3:30-4:00 (pick-up).

Cost is $80 for members and $100 for non members (Members, please log in to your account and use the discount code previously emailed to you)
