In this winter-themed JAM, you will explore different properties of ice and snow.  If you’ve done a Halloween Mad Science JAM with us, you will be familiar with the setup.  We will have four different experiments, each themed around ice.  Try to make ice stick to a string, figure out which substances melt ice best, and more. Just as with our Halloween Mad Science JAM, you will be given a set of instructions to conduct the experiment. Pick a station and follow instructions to start experimenting!  Once that station is finished, your group can then move on to the next open station to complete all four stations.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • We require a 24 hour cancellation notice for Little Explorers Club and JAM Sessions reservations via emailing info@visitthemap.org. Please include the name on the reservation, number of students, date and time of the class.

  • Please help create an outstanding learning environment by limiting disruptions in the classroom!

  • Parents are, of course, always welcome to remain in class but should a parent choose to step out, we have provided a seating area just outside the classrooms. Parents and siblings are also welcome to explore our Discovery Room or the rest of the Museum until the class concludes.
